FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a ticket to attend this event? Yes! Just like an in-person event, we are asking all guests to RSVP so you can stay informed with event information. Click here to RSVP for your free Virtual Event Ticket.  

How much does it cost to attend this event? This event is FREE! However, guests can choose to financially support The Salvation Army by bidding on auction packages or making a donation online.

How does the online auction work? The entire auction will be held online opening on Wednesday, June 9 at 12:00 p.m. and closing on Wednesday, June 16 at 8:00 p.m. You can view each auction package and bid as often and as much as you'd like. If you don't want to bid on items but still want to support The Salvation Army, you will be able to make donations before and during the event through the online bidding platform. 

What will the program be like during the virtual event? The livestream program will be a celebration of our community and it will be an opportunity for you to support The Salvation Army. We will share a powerful message of our impact and celebrate our sponsors. Our event hosts, Dale Johannes and Major Bob Lloyd will have some great auction packages for you to bid on and a moment of giving to donate during the livestream.

How do I participate in the virtual event? When you RSVP we know that you will join us for the virtual event. We’ll invite you to register as a bidder and keep you informed on exciting event details. 

How do I watch the livestream event? Click here to view the livestream. We recommend you tune in with 2 devices (computer to watch and mobile phone to bid and give). This will allow you to watch the livestream and bid and give in the online bidding platform during the event. 

How can I purchase an auction item or donate to The Salvation Army? 

  1. Register for online bidding when the online auction opens on June 9.
  2. Participate in the online auction by bidding on incredible packages. 
  3. Join us for the livestream event on June 16 at 6:00 PM to give a donation during the livestream broadcast. 
  4. Make a donation online.

If I win an online auction package, how do I pick-up that package? You will be notified by email if you win an auction package in the online auction. Shipment can be arranged for any winning bidders located outside of the Portland metro area. The winning bidder is responsible for shipping costs of physical items.
